Have you purchased any goods recently and it’s not working properly? Shopkeeper/Manufacturing is not listening to you? Shopkeeper has charged price above MRP? There is any manufacturing defect in it? Goods are not of standard quality? Have you availed any services recently, such as:- courier, doctor, postal, banking, insurance, builder or any other. Services are not as per the contract and there is deficiency in the services? Then you may knock the doors of consumer courts for redressal of your grievances. Consumer Protection Act 1986 was enacted keeping in view of consumers interest and any consumer or consumer welfare association may file an application before consumer forum for redressal of his/her grievances in terms of deficiency in services and well as defects in the product, even you can knock the doors of consumer forums for “ Unfair Trade Practice”.
